Relay Cloud offers four pricing tiers with monthly and yearly billing.

Yearly billing saves ~17% (2 months free).

Upgrading

  1. Go to Organization → Billing
  2. Toggle between Monthly and Yearly
  3. Click Upgrade to [Plan]
  4. Complete checkout via Stripe
  5. New limits take effect immediately

You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle.

Downgrading

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Your current limits remain active until then.

To downgrade to Free:

  1. Go to Billing → Manage Subscription
  2. Cancel your subscription in the Stripe portal
  3. At the end of the period, your plan reverts to Free

Switching Between Monthly and Yearly

Switch anytime from the Manage Subscription portal. When switching to yearly, you're credited for your remaining monthly balance.

Usage Limits

When you reach a plan limit:

Limit Behavior
Apps Cannot create new apps until you upgrade or delete existing ones
Connections New WebSocket connections are rejected
Messages/day API returns 429 Too Many Requests
Channels Cannot create new channels

Quota Alerts

Set up alerts at custom thresholds (e.g., 50%, 75%, 90%) in your app's Alerts tab. Receive notifications via email, Slack, or webhook.

Billing Portal

Click Manage Subscription to access the Stripe billing portal where you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • View invoices and receipts
  • Switch between monthly/yearly
  • Cancel your subscription
  • Update billing information

Organization Billing

Billing is per-organization, not per-user. All apps within an organization share the same plan limits.

Only users with the Owner or Billing role can manage billing.
